Female police officer, 24, faces sack for 'breaking lockdown before drink-drive crash'

A police officer could be sacked after being accused of breaching coronavirus regulations by attending a house party and drink-driving.

PC Tasia Stephens, 24, was off duty on the night of Saturday April 25 last year when she allegedly attended the family event during lockdown.

It is further alleged that she later failed a breathalyser test after crashing her car into a building. The South Wales Police officer will face a misconduct hearing over the allegations that she broke lockdown rules, drove when unfit, and that being convicted of the offences amounts to discreditable conduct.
