Morrissey has revealed that he is receiving medical supervision after experiencing "physical exhaustion" while touring in America.
The keyboardist for The Cure, Roger O'Donnell, has wished the singer a speedy recovery as he cancels a series of upcoming tour dates.
Morrissey, successful solo artist and frontman of, arguably, Manchester's greatest musical export The Smiths, was set to play a series of dates in California this weekend, but had to cancel them at the last minute "due to unforseen circumstances".
The singer-songwriter revealed on social media that he had to pull out for medical reasons. A post to the his Instagram page, attributed to tour manager Donnie Knutson, said: “Morrissey is receiving medical supervision for physical exhaustion.
