Joe Otterson TV Reporter Writer, showrunner, and director Felicia D. Henderson has signed with Independent Artist Group (IAG), Variety has learned exclusively.
She continues to be repped by Yorn Levine Barnes. Henderson was most recently showrunner and executive producer on the Netflix series “First Kill,” which followed the budding romantic relationship between two teen girls — one a vampire and the other a vampire hunter.
Henderson began her entertainment career in the NBC management training program. Her desire to be part of the creative side of the industry led to her applying to and being accepted into the Warner Bros.
Writers’ Workshop. From there, she landed jobs on shows like “Family Matters,” “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” “Sister Sister,” and “Moesha.” Henderson then went on to develop the Showtime series “Soul Food,” which was based on George Tillman Jr.’s film of the same name.
