Former boss Derek McInnes piled the misery on old club Aberdeen as they cruised to 2-0 victory to complete a miserable week for Barry Robson after their midweek European collapse against PAOK.
Goals from captain Kyle Vassell in first half injury time and ex Dons man Marley Watkins did the damage just days after the Reds squandered a two-goal lead at home to the Greeks in the Europa Conference League and the defeat leaves them languishing 10th in the Scottish Premiership with just nine points and only ahead of second bottom Ross County on goal difference.
It turns the heat up on Robson who is without a win in his last four in all competitions ahead of their midweek trip to face Motherwell at Fir Park and then the huge Viaplay Cup semi-final against Hibs at Hampden on Saturday.
It was only Kilmarnock’s second win in 35 against bogey team Aberdeen but they were well worth the victory against a dismal Dons who had just one effort on target coming in the dying minutes.
