Coronation Street star Faye Brooks has revealed she is looking forward to landing more television roles after leaving the ITV soap in 2019.
But the actress, who played character Kate Connor, says she is flattered when we ask if a return to the cobbles is on the cards in the future. “I love that people are still asking that question," Faye - who is engaged to Iwan Lewis - tells OK!. “I adore that character so much that if I was to go back it would have to be a pretty big reason, but I actually love the way that Kate left and it’s exciting that I can go and pursue other roles now in TV and I just can’t wait to see what this year will bring. "I’ve got the Strictly Ballroom musical and I would love to work with this man [Iwan] again." She continued: "I absolutely loved my four years at Coronation Street and I think I did every dramatic storyline that could ever happen and that will always hold a special place in my heart because it’s in Manchester too. "But I think the world is my oyster now and I need to go and find other characters to play and pursue.” Faye played the role of Carla Connor's half sister and was Johnny and Louisa Connor's second child.
Faye revealed she was hoping for a return to the soap in 2021 - and added that she is pleased that her character wasn’t killed off.
