Coronation Street has released a behind-the-scenes look at the prosthetics process behind Ryan Connor's acid attack scars on the ITV soap.

Only recently, Ryan was revealed to be the victim of a vicious acid attack while defending Daisy Midgeley from stalker Justin Rutherford.

Since the harrowing scenes, he has been recovering in hospital and on Wednesday's episode Ryan bravely tells the surgeon he’s ready to look at his injuries as he's supported by Carla.

For the acid attack prosthetics, the ITV soap has worked alongside Emmy, BAFTA and RTS award-winning SFX artist Davy Jones and Makeup Prosthetics Supervisor Beks Scott.
