He was 56 years old.Following the collapse, Mayor Lauren Garrett confirmed on social media that Freeman was being transported to a hospital by ambulance.
The rapper’s tour manager DJ Pure Cold later confirmed in an Instagram post that Freeman had died.Now, in a new report from the Associated Press, Connecticut’s medical examiner’s office has confirmed that Fatman Scoop died of heart disease.
The rapper also had hypertension and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, a heart condition caused by plaque buildup in the arterial walls.Following the news of his death, several rappers and musicians paid their respects to the late veteran.
