The curtain will rise on East Kilbride Rep Theatre club's latest production House Guest later this month.Francis Durbridge's play is a fast-paced thriller that unfolds in a series of dramatic and menacing plots and counterplots.Robert and Stella Drury are both well-known movie stars, they live in England with their nine-year-old son but he is kidnapped while in Italy with his father.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

He doesn’t want a ransom, but what does he want and why?As the story unfolds various people arrive at the house, including a reporter, two policemen, a visiting cousin, and the mysterious Mr Henderson.

But are they who they say they are?Will the Drurys outwit the schemers, survive the violence and get their son back?The cast are a mix of well-known faces from EK Rep as well as some newer members.The show runs at East Kilbride Village Theatre from Wednesday, March 29 to Friday, March 31 at 7.30pm and Saturday, April 1 at 3pm.
