Fans react to ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ reboot series: “Hope this gets made before the apocalypse”
nme.comBuffy The Vampire Slayer is edging closer to being a reality, and fans have been sharing their enthusiasm online.According to a report by Variety, Sarah Michelle Gellar is in talks to reprise her most famous role of Buffy Summers in a sequel series to the vampire hit which originally ran from 1997 to 2003.
According to the article, it will focus on a new slayer protecting the world from vampires, with Buffy in a mentor role.Oscar winning director Chloe Zhao (Nomadland, Eternals) will helm the series as well as serving as executive producer.
Original series creator Joss Whedon is not listed among the creatives, following claims of inappropriate behaviour on set while making the show which were reported in 2021.The article states that the show is close to a pilot with US streamer Hulu, and fans have been largely excited by the return of the show’s original star.
