Selena Gomez has earned her first ever Emmy nomination for her role in the last season of Only Murders In The Building.Gomez had previously been nominated at the awards for her work as an executive producer on the series, but not in the acting category.
The actress was nominated alongside Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson, The Bear‘s Ayo Edebiri, Loot‘s Maya Rudolph, Hacks‘ Jean Smart and Palm Royale‘s Kristen Wiig.FX’s Shōgun led the way with the most nominations at this year’s Emmys, which were unveiled yesterday (July 18).This was followed by The Bear, with 23 nominations, then Only Murders In The Building (21), True Detective: Night Country (19) and The Crown (18) round out the top five nominees, behind Shōgun’s impressive 25.The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards honour the best in American television, covering the time from June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2024.
The ceremony will be held on September 15 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast on ABC in the US. No host has yet been announced for the show.Gomez herself reacted to the news of her nomination on social media, writing on her Instagram Stories: “I’m honoured and insanely grateful for this.
