Family's tribute to "genuine lad" with "biggest heart" who died in bike crash horror

A heartbreaking tribute has been paid by the family of a teenage biker who died after a horror crash. Spencer Crofts, 17, who died in tragedy on Merseyside on Saturday, has been described as a "loyal and genuine lad" who was "always smiling" and "lived life to the full." A scrambler bike, being ridden by Spencer, and a Suron electric bike, were driving towards each other when they collided at the junction of Hoole Road and Grass Wood Road, on the Wirral's Woodchuch estate, police have confirmed. Despite the concerted efforts of the emergency responders to save Spencer, he died at the scene, the Liverpool Echo reports.

In a statement issued today (Sunday), his family said: ""Tragically taken on 30 November 2024. The loyalist, genuine lad, with the biggest heart.

Always smiling and lived life to the full. Will be missed by so many." The 18-year-old rider of the Suron electric bike, who suffered multiple injuries, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
