The family of a 17-year-old boy who says he was knocked off his bike in a Tameside hit-and-run are appealing to trace the driver of the car.

Harvey Ormiston claims he was sent flying over the bumper of a black Ford Fiesta after cycling on Stockport Road in Denton at around 7:15pm on Wednesday (October 25).

He told the Manchester Evening News he was turning before the car failed to stop and hit him head on. The 17-year-old said several of his teeth were knocked out in the terrifying incident.

He added the driver stopped for 'a few seconds' before driving off. His father said the incident was a 'big shock' and urged anyone with any information to come forwards.
