More than £6,500 has been raised in memory of Matthew McCombe after he was found dead at the age of just 21. The grandson of Celtic legend Billy McNeill went missing in Amsterdam while celebrating his 21st birthday on March 14.

Police sadly discovered his body in a canal in the Dutch capital 18 days later. Now, Matthew’s heartbroken family have launched a Just Giving page in his name to help raise funds for organisations and charities who helped his parents during the difficult time.The family initially set a target of £1,000 in donations, but it was smashed just days after going live.Writing on the JustGiving page, the McCombe family wrote: “A dearly loved son, grandson, nephew, friend and member of Rolls Royce Amateur Football Club,
