The family of Barry McCullagh say they are 'heartbroken' after a body was discovered in the search for him five months after he disappeared.Police were called to Old Patrick Water in Elderslie, Johnstone, after the body of a man was found in the water around 6.15pm on Sunday.Emergency services remained in attendance at the scene on Monday and although formal identification is yet to place, officers informed Barry's family of the discovery.His sister Stacey said they were heartbroken following the news.
Writing on social media, she said: "Hi everyone just want to say thanks to everyone that shared my posts about my brother Barry that was missing for 174 days sadly wee got bad news on the 27th of march that police had found him dead wee are all heartbroken."Tributes poured in online for 40-year-old Barry, from Castlemilk, who was reported missing from Paisley on Wednesday, October 5.
He was last seen on CCTV near the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH).Paying tribute, another family member thanked the public for continuing to search for Barry.Mac White said: "RIP Barry Mccullagh.
