Family hail 'miracle' cure for blind golden retriever puppy

A blind pup can see for the first time after an operation her owners described as 'the nearest thing to a miracle'. Bill Hamilton, from Altrincham, said his family were all devastated when golden retriever Gladys was confirmed blind at just seven weeks old, CheshireLive reports.

But four months later the young pup can now see for the first time after making a remarkable recovery from intricate cataract surgery.

Bill saidd: “Gladys was born on January 23 and at just six weeks old we had some concerns about her eyes and by seven weeks she was basically 100 per cent blind. “Despite this, she was still very active and could navigate around our house and every bit of our garden.
