The much-loved family-friendly chain Hickory's is coming to Wigan. Loved for its 'legendary welcome and super-authentic BBQ classics' at sites including Poynton, Wilmslow and Preston, it'll be the first time the brand, which is now owned by Greene King, has ventured into Greater Manchester.
The southern American smokehouse, which used to be an independent Cheshire-based group operating in Chester for over 20 years, will be opening at the former Charnley Arms, in Almond Brook Road, Standish.
Staff, including a head chef, are being recruited for the new site, which is scheduled to open in 'early 2025'. The menu is packed with classic smokehouse dishes such as ribs, brisket and pulled pork all smoked low ‘n’ slow in their specially imported smokers sitting alongside a selection of signature steaks, burgers and a variety of main courses.
