Fallout 2 is in the works, with Project Arroyo set to turn the 2D game into a 3D, open-world experience.Released in 1998, turn-based role-playing game Fallout 2 was developed by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay Productions.
The official description calls it “the sequel to the critically acclaimed game that took RPG’ing out of the dungeons and into a dynamic, apocalyptic retro-future”.
Bethesda then took over the franchise for 2008’s Fallout 3 and have been leading the series ever since.However, a fan-led community of developers is currently working on a remake of Fallout 2.
Project Arroyo was first founded in 2019 but development properly began a few years later with the team looking to “recreate and reimagine Fallout 2 in the Creation Engine of Fallout 4.”Wait till we recreate this.
