Experts have issued food safety warnings after a spike in the number of Scots taking up batch cooking for the first time during the coronavirus lockdown.
A survey conducted by Hammonds Kitchen found that seven out of ten people in the UK are cooking a bulk meal from scratch to save money and time, reports Wales Online.
Any food left over from a large cook is then stored in the freezer to reduce the amount of days of the week spent in the kitchen.
But experts have warned that novice chefs could be at risk of health problems if they’re not aware of the appropriate measures needed to freeze food properly.
