Geordie Shore star who was in the original line-up of the reality show, explained his dad Robert, 72, was diagnosed with prostate cancer in November, however it has now spread to his spine and ribs with him being admitted to ICU last week.

Speaking exclusively with MailOnline, Jay, 33, detailed how his relative's health battle has made him even more determined to live a healthy lifestyle and ensure that he's having lots of food which will 'fight disease in some sense'.

The fitness fan, who is a vegan, explained how he's already overturned his diet and is trying to actually be healthy and not just 'look healthy' by going to the gym regularly like he did while on the show.
