According to latest figures, the pandemic is set to add more than £100 to gas and electricity bills this winter, as half a million households are forced to carry out their shifts from home.
It's set to add a collective £2billion to the nation's expenses, with only a "pittance" in compensation from their employers in the form of the working from home tax rebate.
Energy Helpline, which carried out the research, found the average household energy bill could climb by £107 for those working from home five days a week.
