Renowned former gangster Ian 'Blink' MacDonald has avoided jail after stealing his partner’s car in “a moment of madness” at a Lanarkshire fastfood restaurant.

The convicted bank robber admitted driving off in girlfriend Ashley’s Range Rover after a row at McDonald’s, Bellshill, in May.
