David Alaba's agent has been labelled a "money-grabbing piranha" by former Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness. The Austrian is in the midst of negotiating a new contract with the European Champions.
Alaba, who has been at the Allianz Arena for the entirety of his career, earns up to €16m a year at Bayern. But the player's entourage, led by agent Pini Zahavi, are seeking a five-year deal worth €125m, according to Kicker.
Hoeness, who has now left his post in Munich, is less than impressed with the player's team influencing proceedings. "Alaba is a very good player and [head coach] Hansi Flick wants him to stay by all means," he said "Everyone wants him to stay, but he has a money-grabbing piranha as his agent.
