Ewan McVicar admits the nerves are building ahead of his huge homecoming gig as he visited the site of Ayr’s first dance festival. The DJ and producer is set to play in front of 7,500 fans who will pack into the town’s Low Green on Saturday for the first of two massive festivals. The idea of playing to so many has never phased Ewan having just got back from a globe trotting tour.
But this time, he’ll headline his own self-titled Pavilion Festival. As he finally got to glimpse of the site taking shape, the star couldn’t take the smile off his face. And he admits he’ll be first at the main gates on Saturday before fans flock to the town.Speaking to Ayrshire Live at the Pavilion Festival site, Ewan said: “I’m nervous.
I’m a bit nervous because my name is above the door man. I just want it to right for everybody.“I’m not even thinking about my set I’m just thinking about the day and I hope everybody enjoys it.
And I hope all our hard work has paid off for everybody.“But I’m still so excited, I’m buzzing. It’s just a dream come true.”Ewan took in the site which will take up only a quarter of the Low Green but is ready to make some noise. He added: “We’re only covering a quarter of the Low Green, but I can’t believe how good it looks already.“It’s all down to the STREETrave crowd.
