Broxburn footballer Ewan Henderson has switched Celtic for Hibs. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder joins the Edinburgh club on loan for the remainder of the current campaign before making the switch permanent with a three-year deal in the summer. The 21-year-old has been capped by Scotland at under-17, under-19 and undder-21 level but hasn’t featured in a league game for Celtic this term despite netting his first goal for the club in a Europa League tie against Real Betis last month. The youngster follows in the footsteps of older brother Liam, who enjoyed a successful loan stint at Easter Road from Celtic during the 2015/16 during which time he helped the Hibees win the Scottish Cup.He is currently in Italy with Serie A outfit Empoli.Speaking to the club’s official website, Hibs manager Shaun Maloney hailed the new arrival, commenting: “Ewan is an extremely talented player.
He has superb awareness and vision, he’s creative and will provide assists.“He’s a player I really want to help to develop so he can show the league the talent he has.“As a Club, we look forward to helping Ewan develop so he can achieve his potential over the coming years.” Don't miss the latest news from the West Lothian Courier.
