Everything you need to know about Bury’s first ever food and drink festival

A three-day festival featuring the very best food and drink Bury has to offer from across the world will be held for the first time next month.

From Thursday, May 23 the town centre will be packed with pop-up food markets, artisan drinks and craft stalls, music and live entertainment.

A Bury Council spokesman, said: “Vendors will take up residence around the ‘Golden Mile’ and Georgiana Block areas of Bury Market, and also Kay Gardens, next to the Sir Robert Peel statue. “The Haymarket and The Rock shopping centre will be other venues.” Among the confirmed food outlets confirmed for the festival are Brew Box selling homemade bakes, coffee and cold drinks, Gwafuvegan who specialises in affordable, vegan West African food and Halopenos who create shredded jalapeño relishes, drizzles and hot nuts.

Other food offerings will come from Killer Carbs who cook up Neapolitan pizzas, The Black Penny Ltd pop up who sell cakes, cheesecakes, milkshakes, crepes, waffles, soft drinks and mocktails and vegan Indian street food will be on sale from Chaat Walas.
