last summer’s hottest movie ticket “Barbenheimer” –– as well as “Poor Things,” “American Fiction” and “The Holdovers.”The Academy announced this year a new category titled Best Casting.
However, that statuette will not be given out until the 2026 Oscars.There will be a few milestones at Sunday’s show, with composer John Williams being nominated for his record 49th Best Score Oscar for “Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny.“This year’s Best Picture roster has two non-English movies up for the award for the first time.
