A 37-year-old man who looks like Tom Hardy says he gets mobbed by fans who think he is the actual Peaky Blinders star. Aron Walker claims that he didn't recognise that he shared an uncanny resemblance to Hardy's character in the popular drama until strangers would approach him on the street.
Aron has embraced his lookalike status and once caused a stir when he and his friends, who also resemble characters from the hit BBC drama, were able to blend into the Peaky Blinders set in Castlefield back in June 2022.
His pal Scott Blowers, 50, is often mistaken for Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy, while another mate, Steve Pritchard, 42, a truck driver, is a dead ringer for Arthur Shelby, portrayed by Paul Anderson. Aron said: "What we’ve done is finding the best of the best of people that look like characters from the show." He added: "You also have got to make sure they are the right person for the job." And on their approach to their unique gig, he remarked: "The job we do, and we never take it too seriously, it's all about having fun as well." "It’s important to get things exactly right.
