There are always three bank holidays over the Christmas and New Year period - for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

This year Christmas Eve falls on a Saturday, and Christmas Day on a Sunday. That means Boxing Day, Monday, December 26, is the next bank holiday however Tuesday, December 27 has also been designated one with Christmas Day being at the weekend.
