The UK has an average of eight public holidays a year. This year has been an exception, with Bank Holidays added to mark the Queen's Platinum Jubilee as well as her funeral last month.
With King Charles III's Coronation date being announced as May 6, it remains to be seen whether there will be a Bank Holiday to mark the occasion.
