South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership and Voluntary Action South Ayrshire have joined forces with a range of partners to organise South Ayrshire’s first ever cAyrFest.
cAyrFest is open to all and will take place on Saturday, February 22 in Ayr town centre from 11am until 3pm.This free, multi-venue festival will celebrate the contribution that unpaid carers of all ages make to South Ayrshire’s communities.
The event is aimed at celebrating unpaid carers and their families, however, is open to everyone to attend.Activities on offer range across the event’s four venues - Ayr Town Hall, the Grain Exchange, the Cutty Sark, and The Place, and include: live music, archery, bike track, yoga, scavenger hunt, climbing wall, silent disco, family game show, cinema, crafts and much more.Councillor Hugh Hunter, portfolio holder for health and social care said: "We are delighted to partner with VASA on cAyrFest.
This is a great opportunity to celebrate our unpaid carers and raise awareness to ensure everyone is accessing the support available to them.
