Etiquette expert William Hanson, who once stepped in as the late Queen's butler, has addressed his "concern" for Prince William and Kate Middleton.According to the 34-year-old, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shifted away from appearing "too normal" for royalty following the Queen's death in 2022.

He had expressed concerns for the royals back in 2016, stating that if William, Kate, and Prince Harry were the future of the monarchy, "then heaven help us".Addressing a report at the time that claimed Prince William had called his wife Kate "babe" in public, he questioned the appropriateness of such casual language being used from a royal and claimed it was more suited to The Only Way Is Essex.

Reflecting on his past remarks, the co-host of the Help I Sexted My Boss podcast now quips that he might have needed "a chill pill" when he penned his thoughts for the Daily Mail column.

However, he stands by his initial concerns.According to Hanson, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's approach to being "too normal" was just a phase which they have since "adjusted" from.
