An escaped peacock on the roof of a Glasgow home has left emergency workers in stitches after concerned calls from residents.Colin William was on his way home from work when he noticed a group of neighbours standing on Raasay Street at around 11pm on Saturday, January 11.

He initially thought his neighbours were winding him up after saying that there was a peacock on the roof of a property.Speaking to Glasgow Live, Colin said: "All my neighbours were out in the street and they were telling me there was a peacock on the roof.

I thought they were winding me up."Then I saw it. It was unbelievable. Apparently, there is a family at the end of the street that has four.

I have lived here for five years, and I never knew that."It was the male that had escaped. It had already been on the roof for six hours before I showed up at around 11pm.
