Ajax manager Erik ten Hag has already provided Manchester United with an insight into what he could bring to Old Trafford if they were to turn to him as their new permanent manager.
United interviewed Ten Hag about potentially becoming their next permanent manager recently and the Manchester Evening News understands that Ajax expect their boss to depart this summer .
The Dutchman is out of contract at Ajax next season and would likely command a much lower compensation fee than Mauricio Pochettino would if United were to prise him away from Paris Saint-Germain instead.
Unsurprisingly, a whole host of names have been linked with the job on a permanent basis, not least 52-year-old Ten Hag, who has become the overwhelming favourite of United supporters in recent weeks.
