Entire leadership of Royal British Legion stood down over 'non compliant activity'

An entire leadership of the Royal British Legion was suspended with "immediate effect" this week due to "non-compliant activity".The Northern Ireland District Committee has been placed under administrative control of its Membership Council after activity was identified that was deemed to be non-compliant and could not be resolved.

The armed forces charity has said that it has attempted to resolve the issues of non-compliance over several months.However, they have said that they were unable to do so and felt that they had no other options but to remove all District Officers and Committee Members from holding committee positions.Sources within the Royal British Legion have told Belfast Live that the announcement of the leadership suspensions came as a shock to them - adding that many within the charity are unaware of what the non-compliance issues are.
