Eni Aluko, a former footballer turned pundit, has left the UK due to fears for her safety after receiving online abuse following offensive comments made by Joey Barton.
The ex-Bristol Rovers manager targeted female pundits in men's football with inappropriate social media posts, referring to Aluko and fellow ITV broadcaster Lucy Ward as "the Fred and Rose West of football commentary".
