On Monday morning, the players were seen departing their accommodation in Germany.They're set to return to England and will have a period of downtime before they rejoin their club teams for the remainder of the season.
Gareth Southgate was also seen waving goodbye as he exited the hotel.The England manager's future has become a hot topic following the loss, but there's no rush to make any immediate decisions.
FA chief Mark Bullingham expressed the collective heartache but also pride in a post-match statement: "We came to Germany to win the tournament, and we didn't want it to end this way," he said. "We are all hurting tonight, but we should be incredibly proud.", reports the Mirror.
