Emotional Amanda Abbington says 'I don't regret what happened' after 'tricky' year

Strictly Come Dancing's Amanda Abbington was seen holding back tears as she discussed her "tricky" year.The Sherlock actress made an appearance on ITV's This Morning on Monday (March 17), where she chatted with hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard about her new play, (This Is Not A) Happy Room.

During the chat, Cat remarked: "It's so nice to see you, you look so good. And when you say, 'It's a really joyful play,' you can see it in you after quite a tricky year." Discussing the hurdles she's faced since leaving Strictly in 2023, Amanda shared: "It's been tricky.

We don't want to go over old ground obviously, because that was done and I'm happy with what happened. "Well, not happy, but I don't regret what happened, and it's time to move on for everybody now.", reports Wales Online.

She then became noticeably emotional, adding: "It was one of the hardest years of my entire life, and having to battle that was tricky, but it's good.
