An East Kilbride costume designer who landed a dream job working alongside Tim Burton has scooped what is believed to be the town’s first Emmy.Robin Soutar picked up the prestigious gong at a star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles last week for his design work on the set of multi-award-winning Netflix TV series Wednesday.The former Duncanrig High School pupil won the prize for Outstanding Contemporary Costumes for a Series alongside a team of designers, which included four-time Oscar-winning designer Colleen Atwood who worked with Tim Burton on Edward Scissorhands.Commenting on his “proudest moment”, Robin, 40, told Lanarkshire Live: “It was very exciting and very unexpected, just really fun to be a part of it all.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
