Emmerdale viewers 'give up' on soap as Belle's abuse storyline takes 'evil' turn

Viewers were on the edge of their seats during the week as Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) were left stunned as they discovered the holiday cottage in Wales, where Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and Tom (James Chase), had been staying, in a state of disarray with blood smeared on the walls.
A flashback episode that aired on Wednesday night (July 24) shed light on the harrowing events that transpired during their getaway, revealing the extent of Tom's cruelty towards Belle.
From mistreating their dog Piper to constantly belittling Belle, Tom made it abundantly clear that they wouldn't be returning to Emmerdale after he secured a job at a local veterinary clinic in the secluded Welsh village.
