Viewers were gripped by Wednesday's episode (August 21) which showcased Tom King (played by James Chase) coldly handing beloved Piper over to an unsuspecting couple who believed they were rescuing the pet.
Unbeknownst to the new owners, they're taking the pooch from Belle (Eden Taylor Draper), who is oblivious to the fact that Piper is indeed not dead.
Reeling viewers watched as Tom exploited Piper in his most recent vile ploy to overpower Belle. All seemed lost for the dog on Monday's instalment (August 19) after a car accident left Piper in critical condition, with Tom and Rhona Goskirk (played by Zoe Henry) attempting to save her, reports the Express.
