Emmerdale spoilers follow. Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle on the ITV soap, has opened up about his character's possible motivation for attempting to kill Caleb Miligan.
Next week, Caleb's months of scheming to take Home Farm for himself come to a head when his secrets are exposed and the villagers, including the Dingles, turn against him.
After a tense confrontation with the villagers at the pub, Caleb is followed and pushed over the edge of a woodland ridge. Several suspicious characters all return from mysterious outings back in the village, including Cain, Leyla Cavanagh, Will Taylor and Mackenzie Boyd.
But whodunnit?Discussing Cain's possible motive, Hordley explained how Cain feels "incredibly stupid" for letting his guard down with Caleb and allowing him into his life again – including helping him with Kyle. "There's a lot of resentment there now as he feels incredibly let down," he said. "I think Cain was beginning to accept the fact that he had a brother and he was beginning to quite like that they were starting to get on.
