Emmerdale actress Beth Cordingly was warned by her partner Ian Kelsey about one vital thing when working on the ITV soap. Ian, 57, played Dave Glover in the Yorkshire Dales for three years until 1997, while Beth, 47, joined the cast just this year as Caleb Milligan's estranged wife Ruby Fox-Milligan, who is the mother of Nicky Milligan.
Speaking to The Mirror ahead of some major scenes unfolding next week, Beth revealed how Ian pre-warned her specifically about the set's furniture. "He told me not to bump into the furniture, which I do regularly," she said.
Beth, whose CV includes the Big Brother zombie series Dead Set and Merlin, previously discussed her romance with Ian, recalling his support over her joining Emmerdale. "There is that thing as an actor where you are always taken away from home.
But he totally gets it. He knows a lot of the crew and cast and so it's lovely to be able to share what I've been up to, knowing he understands. That's important when you are away and he is always keen to find out how filming has gone each day.
