Emmerdale's Mark Charnock admits nerves over reaction to Marlon's stroke

On the ITV soap, Marlon continues to recover at home from his heartbreaking stroke earlier this year. Talking about the reaction to the storyline, Mark, who plays Marlon and has been nominated for several British Soap Awards at this year's 2022 ceremony, admitted he was "really nervous".
Speaking to soap expert Sharon Marshall on Wednesday's This Morning, Mark said: "I was really nervous about the reaction because as we keep saying in all the interviews no strokes are the same.

"Even if Marlon's stroke wasn't like the stroke they had witnessed or experienced themselves, they've empathised with it. "What has been the most amazing aspect of it, for me, it seems to have raised awareness to the point a sub community has gathered online, sharing their stories of stroke with each other.That's heartening." Elsewhere during the interview, Vinny Dingle star Bradley Johnson teased upcoming explosive scenes for his character and on-screen wife Liv Flaherty, played by Isobel Steele.
