Emmerdale star Lawrence Robb who plays lothario Mackenzie Boyd has said he doesn't like his character "at all." In a resurfaced interview from earlier this year, the actor admitted he sometimes has people in supermarkets telling him he's not nice.
Lawrence was appearing on the Loose Women panel in April of this year, alongside Emmerdale's Charity who is played by Emma Atkins.
During the interview, Lawrence said: "I do not like my character at all. "I’ve said that if Mackenzie did exist in real life I would not be friends with him." In response, Emma also claimed: "We struggle to defend our characters in interviews." Lawrence also added that their characters just always do the wrong things which makes them harder to defend in interviews.
Replying to both stars, the Loose Women panelist Denise Welch stated: "That’s the joy of being an actor though, isn’t it?" Fellow Loose Woman Charlene White added: "It’s interesting because I’d never met Emma before and I bumped into you on my way up here and I thought, ‘Oh my goodness me!’" Emma quickly quipped that she felt the same about the presenter.
