Charity then arrived in the village for the funeral of her cousin Butch, alongside village bad boy Cain and her uncle Shadrach and quickly became a firm favourite amongst Emmerdale fans who has been known for her doomed romances over the years among being part of other major storylines. During her marriage to Chris, she discovered that Paddy and Emily Kirk's foster child Debbie was her daughter, stemming from a one-night-stand with Cain when she was only 13 years old.
