Anil Goutam recently made his way to the Yorkshire Dales to star as Amit Sharma in the much loved soap, Emmerdale.The actor's character made his debut last week, where he headed to The Hide to surprise his two sons, Jai and Suni.

For those who have been keeping up with Emmerdale for a while, you'll know that previously, Jai believed his father to be Rishi Sharma, but it was actually revealed that his mum, Georgia, had an affair with Amit while working as his secretary.

Since his big entrance, fans have been getting the feeling that Amit might be the Dales' new villain, especially after the recent episode that saw Anil's character have a panic attack in the spot that Rishi died in earlier this summer.The moment led viewers to believe that he was somehow involved in his brother's death, with people questioning whether Amit is actually capable of murder.

However, away from Emmerdale - thankfully - Anil's life is way less complicated and dramatic, with the actor seemingly living a pretty quiet life when he's not working.
