Emmerdale newlyweds say 'things are going to happen' as they tease Amy and Matty future

The new Mr and Mrs Barton said 'I do' during the ITV soap's latest scenes aired on Wednesday night (April 17). It didn't come without some drama though as the wedding was almost derailed by Amy's mum, Kerry, who wasn't able to stump up the cash she promised to pay for the big day.
With everything ready to go at Home Farm, Kerry confessed that the necklace she planned to sell wasn't worth as much as she thought and was therefore penniless.
Luckily, Eric Pollard saved the day and paid for the wedding while also walking Amy down the aisle, and the young sweethearts were able to exchange vows in front of their friends and family before celebrating being newlyweds.
