Emmerdale lost out on the BAFTA award to Coronation Street during the glittering ceremony on Sunday 8 May.The ITV soap lost out to its rival, which airs on the same channel, as Corrie was given the Soap and Continuing Drama gong in a ceremony hosted at Southbank's Royal Festival Hall in London.
But, the presentation of the actual award was cut from the final edit of the show and was instead included in a roundup at the end of the programme.
