Dan was rushed to hospital after suffering an allergic reaction, before falling over and injuring his back. He has a nut allergy, and wasn't aware a wrap he ate from Brenda's café contained almond milk.
While she knew about his severe allergy, she forgot to check the back of the salad dressing before putting it in the wrap. Unaware of the nut traces in the food, Dan ate it before becoming unwell and going into anaphylactic shock.
