Emmerdale fans were left in tears on Monday's episode and praised the ITV soap for powerful scenes as Mary Goskirk came out to a supportive Kim Tate.
During the episode, Mary started acting evasive when a question about her love life from Kim evoked some painful emotions.To which Mary said: "There is no such thing as my truth, there is only the truth..." With Kim asking: "And what's that?" After a long pause, Mary said in powerful scenes: "I'm gay..." The newcomer then burst into tears as she added: "Oh my goodness, I've said it, it's only taken me my whole life but I've actually said it."
